Premier League Preview

Saturday’s early kick-off sees Sunderland (3.75) host Tottenham Hotspur (2.15) at the Stadium of Light, with both sides in good form ahead of the game.

Martin O’Neill’s men are up to thirteenth position after winning three of the last four games, whilst a win for Spurs could lift them to third place.

Second place Manchester City (1.62) travel to Norwich City (6.5) hoping to bounce back from their shock Boxing Day defeat to Sunderland.

After going ten games unbeaten, the Canaries have now lost their last two, though victory could see them return to the top half of the table.

Stoke City (1.85) will be hoping to extend their nine game unbeaten run as they welcome Southampton (5.0) to the Britannia Stadium.

The Saints have won just once in five games; anything less than three points here could see them drop into the bottom three.

16th place Aston Villa (2.45) host 18th place Wigan Athletic (3.25) with both sides desperate to climb out of trouble.

Villa followed up an impressive win at Anfield by being thrashed 8-0 and 4-0 by Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur respectively, whilst Wigan have picked up just one point from the last eighteen available.

Second from bottom Reading (2.88) host West Ham United (2.62), with the sides having chalked up just one win between them in the last seven rounds of games.

Brian McDermott’s side are destined to start 2013 in the relegation zone regardless of the result whilst a win for the Hammers could see them enter the top ten.

Finally, Fulham (2.15) and Swansea (3.75) meet at Craven Cottage, and the hosts will be buoyed by the absence of Michu from the visitors line-up, with the Spanish star ruled out with an ankle injury.
