Tim Sherwood’s future at the White Hart Lane has been under heavy speculation recently as there are rumors claiming that the 45 years old tactician will be replaced in the summer when the season concludes.

Louis van Gaal and Mauricio Pochettino are some of the candidates of succeeding Sherwood as the next coach of Tottenham.

The board and staff members of Tottenham are expected to reunite with Sherwood in the next few days or weeks regarding the future of the coach but the tactician explained that he is only worried about his players and their performance on the pitch.

“Nothing’s changed. Any questions regarding my employment you’ll have to ask my employers. I’m relishing this opportunity to manage such a big club. My record is second to none. There was never any pressure to get Champions League football. Just go out and do your best’’.

“You’d rather have a pre-season and bring in your own players but it’s not been the case for me so I’ve just got on with it. I don’t want anyone to feel sorry for me. Uncertainty has always been there from the moment I took over. It’s up to the football club to answer those questions. I’m just really going to be professional and worry about the players on the pitch.” Sherwood announced.

Mauricio Pochettino is emerging as a hero for Southampton as the club is entering the top 8 spots of the Premier League which will be their best finish in the top tier English league since earning their promotion in 2012.

Van Gaal on the other hand will be resigning from his role as head coach of Netherlands when the 2014 World Cup concludes which will give him enough time to take on a new coaching role and a new experience in a place where he has never been in charge of a club before, the Premier League.
