Tottenham winger Manor Solomon has joined Leeds United on loan for the remainder of the season. The Israel international opted for the temporary switch to Elland Road despite late interest from Spanish club Getafe and other suitors.
Spurs have been actively reshaping their squad this summer, bringing in forwards Dominic Solanke and Wilson Odobert as part of their plans under manager Ange Postecoglou. The club also added midfielders Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall, with South Korean winger Yang Min-hyuk set to arrive in January.
Several players have been allowed to leave Tottenham this summer, including Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Emerson Royal, Eric Dier, Ivan Perisic, and Oliver Skipp. Others, like Ashley Phillips, Alejo Veliz, and Dane Scarlett, have headed out on loan. Solomon’s move to Leeds follows his limited appearances for Spurs, having been hampered by a persistent knee injury since joining from Shakhtar Donetsk last summer after an impressive loan stint at Fulham.
This loan marks the third deal Spurs have completed with Leeds this summer. Earlier, Joe Rodon made a permanent switch to the Yorkshire club after an initial loan, while Archie Gray moved to Tottenham for a fee of around £30 million.
Leeds, under the guidance of Daniel Farke, are aiming to return to the Premier League after narrowly missing out on promotion last season, losing to Southampton in the Championship play-off final. The club has seen several key players depart this summer, including Gray, Georginio Rutter, Crysencio Summerville, and Glen Kamara. In response, they have strengthened their squad with signings like Rodon, Largie Ramazani, Alex Cairns, Joe Rothwell, and Jayden Bogle.
Solomon, under contract with Spurs until 2028, could make his Leeds debut this Saturday when they face Hull City at Elland Road. Leeds will look to build on their recent 2-0 victory over Sheffield Wednesday, having started the season with two draws against West Brom and Portsmouth and a heavy Carabao Cup defeat to Middlesbrough.
