TOTTENHAM SIGN SOLANKE

TOTTENHAM SIGN SOLANKE

Tottenham have completed the signing of Dominic Solanke from Bournemouth in a deal worth up to £65 million, a club-record sale for the Cherries. The 26-year-old striker has signed a six-year contract with Spurs, marking a significant addition to their squad.

Solanke joined Bournemouth from Liverpool in 2019 and has since made 216 appearances for the club, scoring 77 goals and providing 31 assists. His most impressive season came in 2023-24, where he set a club record by scoring 19 goals in the Premier League and featured in every league game, missing only one start.

This transfer addresses a key area for Tottenham, who have been in need of a strong centre-forward following Harry Kane’s departure to Bayern Munich last year. Solanke’s arrival brings a much-needed boost to Spurs’ attacking options.

Solanke becomes the fourth signing of the transfer window for manager Ange Postecoglou, joining new recruits Lucas Bergvall, Archie Gray, and Yang Min-hyuk, who will officially join the club in January. The new striker could make his debut for Tottenham in their Premier League opener against Leicester City on August 19.
